If it’s not a hell yes, it’s a hell no. We are still learning this lesson the hard way. It’s so easy to convince ourselves that certain opportunities are worthwhile when they totally aren’t! Are we eager to please? Is it FOMO? Why don’t we listen to our gut more often!?
What are your deal breakers? We’re interested in hearing how you guys choose what’s worth your time. Comment below 👇🏻
Getting our jumpsuits readyyyy!!!!! Mañana to Friday we will be painting a big ole mural down in the East Village! It’s going to be tiring but so much fun. 80 by 30 ft. Please come visit if you’re in the hood. 😘
Did you know we haven’t always been Pandr? Yea... we started out under a different name, San Diego Letters. We were a meet up group that hosted monthly lettering and design events! There was no intention of starting a business. We just wanted to make friends and cool art! But as we started collaborating and planning these events, we (@roxyprima and @phoooebers) realized that we worked well together! We started taking on commissioned work and one thing led to another.
About a year or so down the road we realized that the name San Diego Letters wasn’t fitting. We didn’t just do lettering and we did work in other places besides San Diego. If you’ve ever changed the name of your business, you know how difficult it is. All the paperwork, notifying of clients, and for us... all of our murals were signed with the wrong handle! Also, going about finding a new name! Something memorable. Something uncommon. Something that will last more than a year! We chose Pandr because it checked all of those boxes. Don’t get us wrong, there was a lot of back and forth... but at the end of the day it had a nice ring to it! For those of you who are new around here, it stands for P and R, as in Phoebe and Roxy. But it’s pronounced “pander”.
So it just goes to show, there is no direct path! It’s a windy road but that makes life interesting. Those stops along the way help prepare you for what’s ahead. Next stop for Pandr...we will keep ya posted!
When people think of the San Diego, they automatically think Gaslamp, Little Italy, or any of the beach neighborhoods! Well that’s about to change, because there’s some exciting new stuff happening in the East Village. Say hello to First Fridays people! Andddd it’s brand new logo designed by yours truly. Our goal was to breathe some life in to this event and neighborhood. The four colors represent the four different quadrants of the EV. Each quadrant will be taking turns hosting First Fridays and the first one is coming up pretty soon... August 2, mark your calendars!!!!
