We love a freestanding mural… especially when it allows us to collaborate with global brands while working locally in San Diego! This custom freestanding mural was created as part of a brand activation for Manchester United and Snapdragon, blending sports, technology, and large-scale visual design into one impactful piece.
As a San Diego mural artist team, projects like this allow us to work at an international level without the need for extensive travel. By designing and painting the mural in our home studio, we were able to streamline production, maintain full creative control, and deliver a high-quality result efficiently.
Primary colors and recognizable imagery from both brands brought this freestanding mural to life.
This mural was developed as part of the multi-year global partnership between Manchester United and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon brand. As the club’s principal front-of-shirt sponsor, Snapdragon plays a major role in connecting with Manchester United’s massive global fanbase. The goal of this project was to create a bold, visually engaging mural that reflects both brands and enhances the fan experience around the event.
Using primary colors and recognizable imagery from both Manchester United and Snapdragon, we created a custom mural design that feels energetic, iconic, and instantly recognizable. The composition was carefully developed to balance both brands while maintaining a cohesive and dynamic visual style.
Timing for this project aligned perfectly, as Manchester United was scheduled to play at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego. After finalizing and receiving approval on the design, we painted the mural in our studio before delivering it to Qualcomm’s headquarters nearby. From there, the mural was transported to the stadium for the July 31st match, where it became part of the overall brand activation experience.
This project is a great example of how custom murals can be used for brand activations, live events, and experiential marketing. Freestanding murals offer flexibility, allowing brands to create large-scale visual moments without being limited to a permanent wall or location.
