Love City Vet: South Philly

The Love City Vet murals are some of Pandr’s favorite murals to date.

The owner of Love City Vet, Killian, went to high school with Phoebe. Had you told them back then that they’d work together one day, they never would have believed it… but all these years later they’ve found themselves collaborating as business owners in the city that raised them. So, working on this interior mural for Love City Vet’s first-ever veterinary practice location in South Philadelphia felt especially meaningful.

The goal of this mural was to help establish the visual identity of Love City Vet and create a space that that could calm nervous pets, comfort their owners, and reflect the heart behind this woman-owned small business. Since veterinary offices are often perceived as clinical or stressful environments, the goal for this mural was to do just the opposite. It needed to create visual interest without being overstimulating, and and feel instantly welcoming.

With all of this in mind, we focused on bold, playful color blocking, soft curves and friendly line work, and muted, warm colors. Nothing too harsh or provocative - just happy animals and iconography, with a subtle nod to Philadelphia thrown in. We truly love how this one turned out and are so proud to have it in the Pandr portfolio!
