This mural in Saugus, MA, a suburb just north of Boston, was a bold and graphic celebration of local pride. Painted on the back of a private garage in July 2025, the mural showcases iconic Route 1 signage and landmarks, a nod to the character and charm of Saugus that the client wanted to highlight.
Laid out using VR technology (yes, we’re getting high-tech with our mural planning these days!), the design features strong typography, vibrant colors, and clean lines that make it pop against the residential backdrop. It’s eye-catching, nostalgic, and full of personality just like Route 1 itself.
Painting on private homes is always a special experience, and this one felt like a love letter to the town. Whether you’re a lifelong local or just passing through, this mural is a colorful reminder of what makes Saugus unique.
