Mural Miles Webinar
*** Early Bird pricing ends November 30th!
How to take your mural biz on the road…
What This Is
A practical, no-fluff virtual webinar for muralists who are ready to take on projects outside their hometown AND without travel logistics eating majorly into their profit.
After painting murals in 34 states and 2 countries outside the U.S., I’ve learned a LOT about what it actually takes to successfully travel for mural projects.
How much should you charge for travel? Should you fly or drive? What supplies should you pack versus buy when you arrive? How do you get paint across the country? Where do you find assistants in a city where you don't know anyone? And how do you account for all those extra expenses without accidentally paying to work?
Mural Miles is the webinar I wish I had when I first started traveling for mural jobs.
During this two-hour live webinar, I'll walk you through my entire process for planning, pricing, packing for, and executing mural projects away from home… including the mistakes I've made and the systems I've developed after years of traveling for walls.
Whether you've already traveled for mural projects or you're hoping to land your first out-of-state job, you'll leave knowing how to confidently say YES when an opportunity comes your way (no matter where the wall is).

What You’ll Learn
1. Pricing Travel Mural Projects
Traveling for a mural should expand your business…not destroy your profit margin.
We'll cover how I build travel into my mural pricing, including:
• Flights & baggage
• Hotels and vacation rentals
• Rental cars and ground transportation
• Travel days
• Assistants
• Per diem and daily expenses
• Equipment rentals
• Unexpected costs and contingency money
I'll also talk through the expenses that are easy to forget when you're excited about landing a project in another city.
2. Flying vs. Driving
Sometimes getting on a plane makes perfect sense. Other times, throwing everything in your car and hitting the road is WAY easier.
We'll talk through how I decide whether to fly or drive, including:
• Distance and travel time
• How much equipment you need
• Airfare vs. mileage and gas
• Baggage fees
• Rental cars
• Transporting supplies
• How the size and timeline of the project affects the decision
3. Packing for a Travel Mural
After years of flying around the country with mural supplies, I've learned that you absolutely do not need to bring your entire studio with you.
I'll show you how I decide what to: PACK → SHIP → ORDER → BUY LOCALLY
We'll cover the tools I always travel with, what goes in my carry-on, what isn't worth flying with, and how I keep my setup as lightweight and efficient as possible.
4. Ordering Paint, Supplies + Equipment From Afar
You don't want to land in another state and THEN start figuring out where you're getting everything.
We'll cover:
• Ordering paint ahead of time
• Finding local paint and hardware stores
• Shipping supplies directly to your destination
• Coordinating lift and equipment rentals
• Making sure everything is actually there when you arrive
• Building backup plans for when something inevitably goes wrong
5. Finding & Hiring Local Assistants
One of the best ways I've made traveling for murals easier is by hiring artists locally instead of flying an entire team around the country.
I'll walk through how I find mural assistants in cities where I don't know anyone, what I look for before hiring them, how I communicate expectations, what information I give them beforehand, and how I build assistant costs into the project budget.
6. Where to Stay & Getting Around
Hotel or vacation rental? Rental car or Uber?
We'll talk through the not-so-glamorous logistics that can make a HUGE difference when you're working long mural days.
I'll share what I consider when choosing accommodations, how location affects your project, when having a kitchen or laundry is worth paying more for, and how I plan transportation between the airport, hotel, supply stores, and mural site.
7. Planning for the Unexpected
Travel projects have more moving pieces…which means more opportunities for something to go wrong.
Weather delays. Flight changes. Missing paint. Equipment issues. A wall that isn't ready when you arrive.
We'll talk about how I build breathing room into travel projects and the backup plans I've learned to have after years of figuring things out on the road.
8. Live Q&A
We'll finish with 30 minutes of live Q&A, so bring your questions!
Ask me about pricing, flights, packing, assistants, rentals, clients, contracts, logistics, or that weirdly specific travel mural scenario you've been trying to figure out.
Chances are, I've dealt with something similar :)
Why This Webinar Is Different
There are plenty of resources that can teach you how to paint a mural.
This webinar is about figuring out how to paint that mural when it's 2,000 miles away.
I've spent the last decade building a mural business that has taken me to walls across 34 states and 2 countries outside the U.S. Along the way, I've learned what makes travel projects profitable, what makes them unnecessarily stressful, and what I wish someone had told me before I booked that first flight.
Mural Miles is about giving you the systems and confidence to expand where your mural business can take you. Because your next dream client doesn't have to live in your city.
The wall can be anywhere. You just need to know how to get there.
Grab your spot and I'll see you on December 10th! ✈️🎨
